Description

A savoury stew based on tomatoes and eggs. This traditionally mediterranean recipe is a surprising way to enjoy familiar ingredients and is best served with naan bread.

Ingredients

very powerful tomato sauce 2 decilitres
harissa (or sambal) 1 tsp.
farm-fresh eggs 2
scoop of mozzarella 1
tomato 1
roasted sesame seeds 1 tsp.
fresh coriander 4 sprigs
freshly ground pepper
salt

Next, follow the steps to finalize your dish and finally be able to enjoy it!

Pour the tomato sauce into the basket and place it in the drawer of the appliance and add the harissa or sambal.
Fill the water tank and set the appliance to 100 degrees Celsius steam for 4 minutes.
When the tomato sauce is hot, make 2 wells in the sauce and break the eggs in there. Sprinkle the eggs with salt and freshly ground pepper.
Place the tray back in the appliance and steam the eggs at 100 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, cut the mozzarella into slices. Cut the tomato into quarters and remove the seeds. Cut the pulp into cubes.
Open the appliance drawer and divide the mozzarella and tomato cubes over the sauce. Sprinkle with some sesame seeds.
Bake the entirety for 3 minutes at 195 degrees Celsius and then garnish with the tops of the fresh coriander.
Serve the shakshuka with a dip of yogurt and fresh herbs and baked naan bread.
